The Windber Community Building was built in 1973 and forever has been blessed with funding from the Whalley Family. In 1975, the Windber Building Authority presented a special award of recognition to Congressman J. Irving Whalley in grateful appreciation of many years of dedicated service and his unselfish contributions to the people and the Borough of Windber and especially his making possible the development of this Windber Community Building. Most recently, the J. Irving Whalley Charitable Trust funded a new Gym Floor.
