Meet the Instructors

POUND: Rockout Workout with Emily

Hello, my name is Emily Metzgar! I am a certified POUND Pro, and have been teaching POUND classes for a little over a year. POUND is a full body cardio workout inspired by playing the drums. This class is not only an excellent physical workout, but also a great way to relieve stress. The infectious music and catchy beats will allow yourself to get lost in the music and forget you are even exercising! I have lived in Johnstown all of my life, and I am so excited I am able to share this class with people in the area. A little more about myself is I am recently engaged, and I will be getting married in December of this year. I can’t wait to ROCKOUT and WORKOUT with you all soon!

Kickin' It with Carly
Hi! I'm Carly! I grew up in the Derry/Latrobe area of Pennsylvania and now live in Johnstown, PA with my husband and three children. She is a certified personal trainer with a certificate in nutrition from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. I've always enjoyed sports and dance. I've trained as a gymnast, dancer, and in Tae-Kwon-Do before discovering my love for kickboxing. I've trained in kickboxing for the last two years with notable fighters such as professional kickboxer, Alex Beck and Tae-Kwon-Do expert/3rd degree blackbelt, Jonathon Coffman. And I continue to invest into my own training and growth on a weekly basis with professional Muay Thai fighters, Brad Mountain and Daniel Yarnia. My purpose is to build empowering relationships with women that desire a change. I want to inspire women to take an inside-out approach to living life to their fullest potential, and to fight their way through the obstacles holding them back from their goals.

Unwind and Flow: Yoga with Renee

 
Renee is a local teacher who has been practicing yoga for over 10 years. She completed her yoga teacher training in December of 2017 and loves to share her love of yoga with her community. Join her for a gentle class for people of all ages and experience levels, focusing on ending the day with mindfulness and relaxation.

Hi everyone! My name is Alexis Lohr and I’m a Johnstown native, I graduated from Conemaugh Township high school in 2014. I’m currently finishing my degree at Duquesne University and will graduate this May with my Doctorate of Pharmacy! It wasn’t until a little over 2 years ago that I truly found my passion for fitness. As a future healthcare professional, I want to help others reach their fitness goals through indoor cycling and be a role model to my patients. Let me help you improve your physical and mental health with a great cardio workout!
